Determination of Particulate Matter Emission Factors of Common Pyrotechnic Articles

چکیده
The measurement of particulate matter (TSP, PM10, and PM2.5) emitted by pyrotechnic articles is described. For this purpose, for entertainment purposes category F2 (i. e. consumer fireworks according to European legislation) are examined exemplarily. aim was determine reliable emission factors (EF). Different types were used obtain a more representative database. Commonly analytical methods, like impactor technology, accompanied scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy better insight into the nature emissions. Specific determined each article. In absence activity rates, an average specific factor can be assess inventories. investigated 253 g PM10 per kg net explosive content (NEC) 200 PM2.5 NEC. highest found battery shot tubes, lowest fountain-like Furthermore, hypothesis assessed whether it makes difference data based on mixtures or articles. It demonstrated that combustion generates higher amount than mixtures.

Particulate Matter and Ammonia Emission Factors
Emissions rates for particulate matter less than 10 m (PM10) and ammonia (NH3) from commercial tunnel–ventilated broiler houses in central Texas were analyzed using linear regressions to develop emission rates as a function of bird weight for broilers on litter. Interior ambient temperature and relative humidity were not found to be significant factors affecting emissions. From the regression e...
متن کاملParticulate Matter Emission Factors for Biomass Combustion
Emission factor is a relative measure and can be used to estimate emissions from multiple sources of air pollution. For this reason, data from literature on particulate matter emission factors from different types of biomass were evaluated in this paper. Initially, the main sources of particles were described, as well as relevant concepts associated with particle measurements. In addition, arti...
متن کاملAnalysis of Particulate Matter Emission Factors in the Part5 Model
Introduction The EPA's PART5 model, similar in structure to the MOBILE5a model, calculates g/mi exhaust emissions of PM and SOx from 12 classes of motor vehicles. It also calculates g/mi emissions of road dust and particles from tire wear and brake wear1. The g/mi emission factors of PART5 can be multiplied by estimates of VMT in a particular region to produce a total inventory of mobile-source...
متن کاملdevelopment of particulate matter and heavy metal emission factors for kerman copper industries
an emission factor is a tool that is used to estimate air pollutant emissions to the atmosphere. it relates the quantity of pollutants released from a source to some activities associated with those emissions. to determine the quantity of pollutant released from copper and its alloys smelting furnaces, 63 samples from emission gases were collected on cellulose ester membrane filters in three 8-...
متن کاملHealth impact assessment of particulate matter in Sanandaj, Kurdistan, Iran
Air pollution is a major environmental issue in all regions of the world. We aimed to assess the health impacts of particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter 10 µm (PM10) in Sanandaj, Kurdistan, Iran. The air pollution data were obtained from Sanandaj Department of Environment Protection. The annual mortality and morbidity, including cardiovascular and respiratory diseases attributable to...
